Argento's Serenity Reference is designed to replace their very successful, award-winning "VDM Reference", which had been the ultimate Argento cable for a number of years and received the honor of Cable of the Year in 2003 by the Hong Kong hi-fi magazine Hifi Review.
After Argento completed the Serenity Reference they planned to make it their reference cable because the sound quality was so much better than anything they had heard before.
Further research into the design of the Reference made the basic Serenity and Serenity Master Reference possible. The Serenity Reference remains Argento's original true Reference level cable.
